According to the Met Office, much of the heavy rain is set to last until 3pm on Friday (September 30) with the chance of precipitation as much as 90 per cent.

This later reduces significantly to less than five per cent as we approach midnight with the rain calming down at around 5pm.

The weather tomorrow is set to be better with showers expected at 12pm, and another heavy shower set to occur between 3pm until 5pm.

October 1 (Saturday) should be when the rain stops with Sunday set to look a bit brighter with less than a five per cent chance of rain. And you'll be glad to know that there is a sunny spell or two expected throughout Sunday (October 2) from around 10am until 1pm.
