An Edinburgh restaurant has apologised after a customer hit back after dining out.
Wagamama is a popular chain that serves Japanese and Asian dishes, but one guest was left unimpressed.
Taking to Tripadvisor, the diner explained how they usually enjoy their time at the restaurant on St Andrew Square but on this occasion, one 'angry' server had spoiled their night and the food wasn't up to scratch.

They wrote: "Not terrible but just not what I’ve come to expect from Wagamama. Service was ok from the main server but spoiled by the lady who brought our drinks over. Seemed angry when my son spotted his glass was dirty.
"She took it away and then brought him back another dirty glass (might have been the same one. Got another member of staff to bring another glass but even that was dirty. He just drank out of the bottle in the end.
"Food was average too. The steamed gyoza looked like they had been steamed earlier and then warmed again as they all had a hard crust on the underside like they had been fried."
The diner continued: "Two of the mains were ok but the chicken in the katsu curry was over cooked. So hard that the knife had difficulty cutting in to it. Now I love Wagamama but this one, on this occasion was worth missing."
The restaurant quickly responded, apologising for the evening and insisted they would bring it up with the staff in order to 'improve standards.'
The restaurant said: "Thanks for reaching out, we're ever so sorry to hear about the issues that you encountered during your time with us, apologies for any disappointment caused.
"We'll be sure to review this directly with the team and will ensure that your feedback is used constructively to help improve standards here. thanks again and we do hope that you'll have a much improved experience with us sometime in the future. Many thanks."
Wagamama is popular with locals boasting four and a half stars on Tripadvisor with diners praising its food, service and price.
Another customer had a more positive experience and said: "I always love coming to Wagamamas, and Edinburgh was no exception. I couldn’t fault anything - Great service and great food. I was even able to get my meal less spicy thanks to the lovely waitress, as I am not fond of too much spice. Thank you very much for our food, we all loved it!"
A second said: "Visited for dinner on a cold December evening. We were chosen for a random act of kindness by our waitress Sarah, where she presented us with a Wagamama cookbook.
"Needless to say we were very pleased with the gift and thank you to the wonderful staff. Even though we now have a Wagamama cookbook it won't stop us returning, the food was so fresh and amazing and as always so so tasty. Cannot recommend a visit to this Wagamama enough."
