Train passengers heading in and out of Edinburgh have been warned of disruption on Tuesday following a major fault at Haymarket station.
ScotRail issued an urgent alert to those travelling through the capital during rush hour after a number of trains became 'stuck' at Haymarket depot.
Speaking on social media, the travel operator said their services were now limited both in and out of Edinburgh, with locals urged to check the app for any changes.

With technicians currently working on repairing the fault, major disruption has been caused on routes such as Edinburgh to Glasgow and Edinburgh to Fife, Dunblane and Aberdeen.
Offering alternative travel, ScotRail said that some tickets will now be valid on Stagecoach bus services in order to keep the city moving.

An update at 8am from ScotRail said: "We have a signal fault at Haymarket Depot meaning we’re currently unable to get any trains out of this depot at present. Our services will be limited from Edinburgh until staff have rectified the fault.
"Repairs are continuing at the Depot. Please note services are still able to travel via Haymarket station but some services out of Edinburgh Waverley are affected. Check your journey on our app or website to make sure your service is running."
