A person has tragically died after being hit by a train on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services rushed to Bowling train station following reports that a person has been hit by a train. ScotRail informed passengers that the services between Helensburgh Central and Edinburgh will be cancelled, delayed, or revised.
They also added that trains between Balloch and Airdrie will be cancelled, delayed or terminated at and started back from Hyndland.

Customers can check the ScotRail website or app for further details on trains between Helensburgh Central and Edinburgh.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: “Officers were called to Bowling railway station at 3.21pm on 5 April following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended, and sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are working to identify the deceased and inform their next of kin.
"This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the procurator fiscal.”
