All train lines between Edinburgh Waverley and Haymarket have been closed following an emergency incident on the railway.
One of the main travel routes through the city, the section of lines has been entirely shut off as police and other emergency services race to the scene.
Reported shortly after 2.20pm on Tuesday, ScotRail said all services between the two stations had been suspended due to 'trespassers on the railway.'

It is unclear if there have been any injuries as a result of the incident, however a person 'is now in the care of the emergency services.'
Issuing an urgent warning to passengers on social media, ScotRail said:
"Due to trespassers on the railway between Edinburgh and Haymarket all lines are closed. We're working closely with the emergency services at the moment."
It comes as both stations and other travel routes around the capital are expected to be extremely busy in the coming hours as the Queen's coffin departs Edinburgh.
A number of road closures are now in place, with the casket to be taken from St Giles' Cathedral to Edinburgh Airport shortly after 3pm.

A spokesperson for British Transport Police said: "British Transport Police were called to the line near Haymarket railway station at 1.46pm today (13 September) following concerns for the welfare of a woman.
"Officers attended, and the woman was taken to a place of safety."
