A premium car company which only recently launched in the UK is set to open its first site outside of London in Edinburgh.
Korean brand, Genesis, has announced it will open a new studio in the city in the summer as part of its commitment to its "continued expansion" in the UK, after launching on these shores in 2021.
Already a sponsor of the Scottish Open golf tournament, Genesis, which is a luxury arm of the Hyundai Motor Group, are looking to create stronger links with Scottish customers and will be hiring Genesis personal assistants and on-site product experts in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Managing director of Genesis UK, Andrew Pilkington, said: “Since launching in 2021 we have seen strong sales in Scotland, and our cars have been recognised two years in a row in the Scottish Car of the Year awards.

“The response to Genesis has been very positive in Scotland and we are sure this will continue as we prepare to open our Edinburgh Studio. We are looking forward to recruiting our Edinburgh-based retail and support teams and welcoming our Scottish guests this summer.”
Though Mr Pilkington didn't confirm where they would be opening their new minimalistic studio, he did confirm it would give Edinburgh customers the chance to learn more about their new fully-electric line-up of models including the GV60 crossover, GV70 SUV and G80 saloon with people able to expect a welcome based on Korean customs.
