A huge fire festival is set to descend on Edinburgh city centre on Halloween night for a spooky evening of events after the sun goes down.
Announcing their return to Edinburgh, the Samhuinn Fire Festival will provide some alternative entertainment for those who don't fancy guising this year.
Taking place in Holyrood Park, the event is expected to light up the darkness at the foot of Arthur's Seat, with a parade making its way through the open space.

Promising to be quite the spectacle, organisers have said the event will run from 7pm-10pm on Monday, October 31, with no official ticket price, however donations are appreciated.
Once at the park, onlookers will be treated to displays from "otherwordly creatures" who will be performing both fire-play and providing crowds with some classic Celtic storytelling.

Speaking about the event, organisers said: "As darkness creeps in on Halloween night, Edinburgh's Samhuinn Fire Parade will march alongside otherworldly creatures in Holyrood Park.
"Experience our dazzling mix of fire-play and immersive, Celtic storytelling. Through our talented performers, witness the epic battle between the Winter and Summer kings unfold as we start our transition into deep winter slumber."
