The Chinese New Year gets underway tomorrow (Sunday 22) as those celebrating the occasion will bring in the Year of the Rabbit during a seven day holiday.
To mark the occasion several events have been organised in the capital for individuals and families to enjoy.
Chinese New Year in Edinburgh has become the largest celebration of its kind in Scotland since it launched in 2019.

Coordinated by Edinburgh Tourism Action Group (ETAG) as part of its China Ready initiative, it is also generously supported by Heriot-Watt University.
This year will see a mixed programme with online events as well as a variety of promotions and outdoor celebrations.
Edinburgh Castle is set to host a lights show on January 22 and 23 from 6:00pm-8:00pm where those in attendance will be treated to a wonderful collection of Chinese performances.
The Usher Hall will also host a concert to mark the Year of the Rabbit with the Scottish National Orchestra playing alongside special guests that will create a show that is built around both Chinese and Scottish music.
The concert will take place on January 21 with the Lion and Dragon Dance taking place at 6:00pm and the concert kicking off at 7:30pm.
Sunday afternoon at 12:30pm will see a celebration that the whole family can get involved in. The cultural and artistic display will be themed on traditional Chinese New Year Celebrations, with a lion dance, Chinese New Year folk dance, Baby Rabbit, a Han costume show, Chinese calligraphy, Red envelope games and Ceilidh taking place at the Mound.
There are also more educational events taking place at the Central Library as well as Camera Obscura who have special activities on the go for the occasion.
Edinburgh St James’ Quarter and Johnnie Walker will also bring in the Lunar New Year with specialised corporate experiences.
