An exciting new beer festival has just been announced for the capital this summer.
Running across September 29 and 30, the first edition of the Gravity Beer Festival will bring 15 top breweries from all around the UK to the capital's Summerhall.
Created by the teams behind Barney’s Beer and the pioneering arts village, the event will offer 6o lines of beers and ciders pouring over four sessions, from Friday afternoon to Saturday evening.
From Kernel to Attic Brewing, several renowned UK craft breweries have already confirmed their presence at the event as well as local stars like Campervan Brewery.

Speaking about the new event, Summerhall’s head of events, Amber Cordiner, said: "In the last few years, local beer festivals have been a little thin on the ground. Considering Summerhall is such a great venue, it was a no-brainer that we needed to put something exciting together with Barney’s Beer, it is a perfect partnership!”
Andrew Barnett (aka Barney) from Barney’s Beer added: “We have so many great local brewers and thought it would be interesting to showcase some great breweries from outside Edinburgh too. This is hopefully just the beginning for Gravity Beer Festival at Summerhall!"
Local food trucks will also be on hand to sustain all the hungry guests, and the team has announced working on a series of lectures for the beer nerds in the crowd.
Tickets are now on sale now from the Summerhall website.
Each session includes access to the festival, a complimentary glass, and tasters from all the brewery stalls.
