Edinburgh is set to get the first Le Petit Beef Bar restaurant in Scotland after the premium steakhouse chain confirmed it was coming to the capital in the summer.
The brand, which already has restaurants in London and Dubai, will open in partnership with InterContinental Edinburgh The George and take over the hotel's grand dining room space.
The brainchild of restaurateur Ricardo Giraudi, the restaurant strips back the stuffier rules of traditional steakhouses and adds modern street food-style dining options.

Speaking about the launch, Mr Giraudi told foodie mag Restaurant Online that the opening is a "very special one" for him as it allows them to "highlight the bountiful produce" that Scotland has to offer.
He added: "Edinburgh is such a beautiful and vibrant city, and the InterContinental Edinburgh The George is at its heart, so we're thrilled to be opening up in the hotel's beautiful restaurant space, giving it a Le Petit Beefbar makeover whilst still retaining the incredible Georgian architecture from the 18th century."
According to Restaurant Online, new dishes set to feature will include a sharing plate of Kobe beef jamón; and a croque sando filled with dry-aged beef rib-eye prosciutto and mozzarella and served with Le Petit Beefbar's house sauce.
Also on offer will be an extensive wine list sourced from around the world and a carefully curated cocktail menu created for the restaurant.
Though they have yet to confirm the opening date, Edinburgh Live will let you know as soon as we find out more so watch this space.
