A 14-year-old Edinburgh teenager was assaulted in the Sighthill community during an altercation between two sets of “young teams” on Wednesday.
It is believed that two groups of teenagers, as many as 50, one set from Clermiston and the other Wester Hailes - met in a face off at Sighthill Park which led to scenes of violence.
Officer from Police Scotland confirmed that a teenager had suffered minor injuries but did not require treatment from emergency services.

The young male was allegedly cared for by a local resident as the scene of violence descended into pure pandemonium and they awaited a police response.
One Edinburgh local, who saw the chaos, told Edinburgh Live: "There were 10 or more police vehicles in attendance and an ambulance just left with blue lights and sirens.”
Pictures emerged showing police in attendance at the reported mass brawl.
The images show several police cars and vans as well as officers on motorcycles outside of a block of residential flats that are situated adjacent to St Augustine’s High School.
At least four officers were seen interviewing groups of locals outside the flats.
As a result of the disturbance, local officers have said that they will step up patrols in the area to ensure that the recent rise in anti-social behaviour is dealt with.
Inspector Keith Forrester, of Wester Hailes Police Station said: “Police received reports of a disturbance involving a group of youths within Sighthill Park in Edinburgh around 4.30pm on Wednesday, 15 June, 2022.
“Officers attended and traced 14-year-old male who had sustained a minor injury, which did not require medical treatment.
“We are continuing our increased patrols around Sighthill Park and other key areas in the south west of Edinburgh to deter and deal with violence, antisocial behaviour and disorder. There will be a zero tolerance approach and enforcement action will be taken against anyone identified as being involved in criminal behaviour.
“Dealing with disorder and antisocial behaviour is a priority for police in Edinburgh, therefore we are committed to making these public areas safe places for visitors, local businesses and residents.
