A 'luxury and 'chic' dessert and brunch restaurant is set to debut in Scotland and one of Edinburgh's most popular destinations this summer. Haute Dolci have announced that they are opening their first venue in the country at St James Quarter.
The restaurant chain, famous for their mouth-watering desserts and light lunch options, are set to be the newest name moving into the £1 billion centre, just in time for the Festival Fringe to begin in August. The restaurant will also be giving away their highly-sought after 'Haute Dolci Keys, which give lucky customers access to special benefits and discounts.
In the run-up to the opening date, which is yet to be officially announced, Haute Dolci will announce clues to acquire access to their loyalty club via Facebook and Instagram. One gap that Haute Dolci will seek to fill is an option for desserts. With an influx of dessert and ice cream parlours opening up in the city in recent years, Haute Dolci have selected one of the city's prime locations to make their mark and expand as a brand in Scotland.
As well as a stacked menu full of fan favourites, the venue will also open up 30 new jobs for local people, with applications and interviews already underway to recruit staff. Adding to the recently opened Everyman Cinema, Ka Pao, Pho and Itsu, with more to come, Haute Dolci will certainly offer something new and exciting to the five-storey centre.
Daniel Gillett, the restaurant manager for Haute Dolci in Edinburgh, said: “We’re delighted to be able to bring Haute Dolci to Scotland for the first time! Offering a stylish and chic atmosphere for customers, a friendly attitude and of course the best in desserts and brunch, Haute Dolci is the perfect place to come with friends, family or even a date.”
“Our team has worked around the clock to ensure that everything is ready ahead of the big day, and we are excited to welcome customers through the doors — we know they’ll love it!”
Each of Haute Dolci's existing stores have in common swish décor and features that make it a fine dining experience. Whether its comfy booths or cherry blossom trees in the centre of the restaurant, the venue will certainly impress Edinburgh locals with a sweet tooth.
As well as individual items, Haute Dolci also provide special dessert and brunch deals, for those dining with more than one guest and to allow foodies to grab a bite of everything on offer, as we all know the struggles of trying to decide what to order. Croissants, granola bowls, toasties, open sandwiches will all be available on the savoury side of things.
Speciality milkshakes, sundaes, waffles, cookie dough and pancakes are amongst the sweeter options for customers to look forward to. For more information on the Haute Dolci brand or to make a reservation at the new Edinburgh restaurant, you can visit hautedolci.co.uk.
