Edinburgh-based content management company Forrit has appointed Gary Roberts as its first chief revenue officer.
He has more than 20 years of senior leadership experience in the tech and retail sectors, including Fujitsu, Laura Ashley and Microsoft.
Roberts joined from Sitecore, where he was chief revenue officer for Europe, Middle East and Asia, with prior work as global chief revenue officer at Geneva-headquartered Jahia.
He will now be responsible for leading all aspects of Forrit's future growth. The company saw double-digit growth in 2021 and has “ambitious” growth targets in place for 2022 and 2023.
Additionally, Forrit also secured a trademark for its name and logo in the US, which will support the company’s global business development initiatives.
Peter Proud, chief executive at Forrit, said: “Gary has established a strong reputation for building and leading commercial teams across the retail and technology sectors, and we’re confident he will be a superb addition to our senior leadership team.
“Not only will Gary drive business development across the company, but he will also be a valuable asset in helping to coach and mentor junior colleagues – a key focus for us as we look to up-skill the next generation of leadership talent internally.”
Roberts added: “I am looking forward to hitting the ground running and helping more businesses understand how the cloud can help them form deeper engagement with customers and drive business growth in a post-pandemic world.”
