Edinburgh set to welcome world-renowned floral exhibition with displays and demonstrations

A 'global sensation' floral exhibition is set to come to Edinburgh this year, showcasing local florists with a travel-themed show.

Set within the grounds of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Fleurs de Villes will present their 'spectacular' show that celebrates iconic destinations from around the world. Before heading to the capital, the exhibit is also hitting Sydney, New York, Chicago, Miami, and Toronto.

Known as the "floral disrupters", the show will be open in Edinburgh for 10 days from September 15 until 24. Dramatic installations will be installed that celebrate the culture and heritage of countries including Japan, Argentina, and India.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore Inverleith House, participate in demonstrations from local florists, and vote in the "fan favourite" contest. Botanical refreshments and light bites will also be on offer.

Karen Marshall, Co-founder of Fleurs de Villes said: "As Fleurs de Villes has travelled the globe these last few years, we have been so inspired by the stories shared by fans, florists, and partners in every city we visited. With people everywhere returning to travel, it is an opportune time to bring these global stories to life in flowers.

"We are thrilled to be bringing VOYAGE to Edinburgh and to be partnering with the iconic Royal Botanic Garden - the perfect stage to showcase Edinburgh’s world-class floral talent.”

Kari Coghill, Director of Innovation Projects at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, added: "As admirers of Fleurs de Villes, we are excited to be able to work together to host VOYAGE at Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

"This beautiful showcase of floral artistry and craftsmanship is a natural fit for the Garden, and we can’t wait for visitors to experience these stunning displays at Inverleith House, located at the heart of the Edinburgh Garden and our magnificent Living Collections.”
