Capital foodies are set to be transported to street food paradise this summer as Scotland’s finest fare returns to a popular Edinburgh market.
The Scottish Street Food Awards returned to The Pitt in Leith last year after a dismal 2020 in which the ceremony moved online.

The winners of the overall award will be handed the opportunity to pit their eats against their English, Welsh and European counterparts in competitive action later this year.
The following 12 months will also see the introduction of an American event for the first time, further opening the field for Scotland to prove why it is the global standard in scran.
Nominees are yet to be announced, but traders will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Edinburgh’s vegan Mexican eatery Antojitos - which has opened a London outlet since scooping the 2021 prize.
The British Street Food Awards, who organise the country-wide heats, promised a “knees up” for those heading to Pitt Street between June 10 and 12.
They added: “There’s no way 2022 will be '2020, too' for the British Street Food Awards.
