Edinburgh is set to be hotter than San Diego this weekend as the Met Office predicts the warm summer weather will be here to stay.
On Saturday, temperatures in Edinburgh are set to spike with the capital set to also be hotter than Johannesburg - hitting 25C on Sunday July 17.
In comparison, San Diego will see highs of 24C on the same day and 19C in Johannesburg.

The Met Office described the weather across Lothian today as: “Variable amounts of cloud and some bright or sunny intervals.
"Mostly dry but the chance of a few light passing showers, feeling fresher than of late."
Looking at the forecast for Friday, it is looking cloudy in the morning with the cloud breaking to allow through some sun from the late morning well into the afternoon.
However, by the evening there is predicted to be some sunny showers and darker weather as the night draws in.
Despite that, the temperatures in Edinburgh are still set to reach a scorching 26C next week as the warm weather from throughout the month continues.
The Met office said this weekend will be: “Mainly cloudy with a few showers on Friday. Mostly dry and warm with some hazy sunshine."
The warmest day will be Sunday but temperatures will hit above 20C across the weekend.
