Edinburgh set for new city centre Black Sheep Coffee shop at Haymarket

A new Black Sheep Coffee store is expected to open in Edinburgh city centre.

The cafe chain owned by Gabriel Shohet and Eirik Holth is due to moved into one of the brand-new retail units of the multi-million pound Haymarket Square Development.

The coffee house, which has a number of other locations in the city lined up, is anticipated to open on the ground floor of 1 Haymarket Square, just opposite the train station.

The £350m development will contain a number of offices, hotels and hospitality venues when it opens to the public.

Black Sheep's posted online “Serving the world’s first speciality grade Robusta Beans on the market, we are innovators in the coffee industry. With cafes, kiosks, and cocktail bars across the globe, come soak in the vibe and enjoy a perfect cup."

According to the council's planning portal, on February 24, the company applied for an advertisement board to be placed on the front of the shop. This was later approved by the council on April 27

The advertisement on the ground floor can be seen now with the Black Sheep Coffee logo spread across the front along with the words saying "Coming Soon."
