Police are probing an incident in which a schoolgirl was chased by a man 'wearing only pants' through a woodland area in Edinburgh.
The alleged incident is said to have happened at around 12:30pm on Buckstone Knoll, in Edinburgh, on Wednesday, March 23.
The girl's mother took to social media after her 12-year-old daughter told her she had been followed home by a man.
The young girl was said to be walking in the wooded area when a man 'made it clear' he was following her.
When the youngster began to run, she alleged the man also gave chase.
The man was said to be wearing only black pants, which looked like 'Speedos', with a blue v-neck t-shirt.
He's described as being in his late forties to early fifties, was around five foot nine in height and had grey stubble and thinning hair.
Officers were called to the Buckstone area of Edinburgh after reports of a man acting suspiciously in a nearby wooded area.
The mum urged anyone who may have saw something, or who has doorbell footage to contact police.

While they searched the area and could not trace the man, enquiries remain ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.10pm on Wednesday, 23 March, police were called to Buckstone in Edinburgh, following a report of a man acting suspiciously in a nearby wooded area.
"Officers attended and searched the area, to no result.
"Further enquiries into the matter remain ongoing.”
