Police in Edinburgh are carrying out enquiries after a teenager was assaulted in Longstone.
Officers are investigating the incident on Inglis Green Road after the 16-year-old girl was assaulted in broad daylight.
Reported to police on Tuesday evening (May 17), the incident had occurred a few hours earlier at around 5pm, with anyone with information regarding the assault urged to contact 101.

The extent of the injuries from the assault are currently unclear.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11.30pm on Tuesday, 17 May, police received a report of the assault of a 16-year-old girl on Inglis Green Road in Edinburgh.

“The incident occurred earlier that evening at around 5pm.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 3801 of 17 May, 2022.”
