Life in the city can be a little tiring at times. Thankfully, there's always caffeine to keep us fuelled.
Edinburgh's coffee scene is arguably one of the best in Europe and has seen a rapid rise in the last decade. It's hard to find a neighbourhood or street corner without a delightful wee coffee shop to help us wake up.
Of course, everyone will have their favourite, the place that has so well and truly become part of the morning routine we could probably wearily walk there with our eyes closed.

But according to Trip Advisor reviews, there's one place that stands above all others to be ranked Edinburgh's top-rated coffee spot.
People have praised Fortuna Coffee Bar as an 'absolute gem', while besides the caffeine, they all serve up some beautiful breakfasts including - according to some - the 'best ever bagels'.
With a full five star rating from over 150 votes on the travel review site, Fortuna certainly seems worth the visit.
Described as a speciality coffee shop, serving breakfast, brunch and lunch all day, it's located in the heart of Edinburgh's New Town, on Queen Street.
Here's why people love it:

One recent review said: "Peaceful and delicious breakfast. We went into this café for breakfast time and I must say it was 10 out of 10.
