Edinburgh New Town has got a new must-visit summer spot in the face of a tempting ice cream venue in the heart of the capital's vibrant shopping centre - St James Quarter.
Serving delicious ice cream, cake and coffee every day from 10am to 8pm, Scoop Daddy's Ice Cream is located in the Leith Street Eats area of the popular shopping mall.
There could not be better timing for it, as the capital is set for a midsummer heatwave with temperatures expected to stay at highs of 20C well into next week, sending locals and tourists alike searching for a perfect cooling treat.

While enjoying the warmth in the city, make sure to take a break with the new ice cream venue's Honeycomb Sundae - soft serve, honeycomb pieces, caramel sauce and whipped cream - that promises to be the sweet hit of this season.
Having opened a year ago, St James Quarter is constantly adding new exciting businesses to its venue. Just yesterday, Monday, July 4, Edinburgh Live reported on the newest addition to the place's Bonnie & Wild Marketplace - the Sri Lankan street food Kochchi.
Kochchi is a food business that originated in Glasgow and was recognised in Scottish Street Food Awards with the People's Choice Prize earlier this year.
Now, the award-winning business is coming to Edinburgh and will find its permanent spot at the shopping centre's diverse food hall, opening its doors for the first time on July 18.
While the new dining spot is still a short wait ahead, Scoop Daddy's Ice Cream is there in full swing and gathers queues of tempted passers-by with their bright show window.
After all, summer is all about a good ice cream cone - no matter the weather.
