Edinburgh's popular Pitt Market have confirmed they will be running their "last ever" event this weekend.

With new blocks of flats set to be built on the site, the market had announced earlier this year that they would be changing location after receiving their notice.

Looking for alternative venues, organisers were able to find a brand new spot in Granton, however the site will not be opening until at least the spring of 2023.
In a bid to say goodbye to their iconic location, the Pitt told followers on social media that their last days will be on Friday (October 28) and Saturday (October 29.)

Encouraging customers to come down and say farewell, a post read: "Join us for the last-ever Pitt on Pitt Street this Friday and Saturday!
"Our new spot in Granton isn't forecast to open until next spring/summer, so you'd better stock up on memories before we start hibernating.
