Edinburgh’s Old Town is set for a trendy new bubble tea takeaway shop.
The City of Edinburgh Council validated the application to create the new bubble tea shop on January 25.
The plans show the unit at 116B Rose Street will be completely transformed into a trendy new takeaway.
It currently appears to be lying vacant, but the owners plan to completely redevelop the site.

There will be a small seating area for six people for customers to sit and people gaze whilst they enjoy their drinks.
Plans also show the large open plan space designed for staff to prepare the bubble tea offerings.
The planning documents are vague but an image shows that the developers plan to call the new unit Flying Panda.
An online listing for Flying Panda at Rose Street shows that the takeaway will be selling bubble tea.
Bubble Tea originated in Taiwan in the 1980s and in recent years it has become popular worldwide.
The are many different flavours of bubble tea but the two most popular varieties are black pearl milk tea and green pearl milk tea, and the drink is proving to be a popular alternative to coffee.
The market size of bubble tea was valued at over £2 billion in 2019 and is projected to reach £4 billion by the end of 2027.
The City of Edinburgh Council will make a decision on the planning application in the coming weeks and months.
