One of Edinburgh's top distilleries has just launched an exciting new gin-tasting experience just in time for the festive season.
The Holyrood Distillery ‘Height of Arrows’ Experience lets gin fans explore their exciting range, learning all about them before tasting all four expressions and even enjoying making their very own Southside cocktail.
Up to 16 guests at a time can enjoy a welcome cocktail alongside a "storytelling adventure" through the history of gin, before being guided through a tasting of the four Height of Arrows primary range in the distillers’ lab and gin distillery.

The Holyrood team added that after finding their own perfect serve, guests will then be invited to make and shake their own Height of Arrows cocktail to enjoy in the distillery lounge over an informal chat against the musical backdrop of the curated Height of Arrows playlist.
Recognised as Visitor Attraction of the Year at Icons of Whisky 2021 Awards and shortlisted as Tourism Destination of the Year 2022 at the Scottish Whisky Awards, Holyrood Distillery is located at the base of Arthur’s Seat at St Leonard's Lane.
The close proximity to the famous Edinburgh landmark is also what gives the gin its distinct name, with the height of Arthur’s Seat said to be the furthest distance an archer could shoot with a bow.
Priced at £35 per person, each session lasts 90 minutes with start dates from 5.15pm and dates available to book through the Holyrood website throughout November and December.
Speaking about the new experience, general manager, Debs Newman said: “We are incredibly proud of our Height of Arrows gin range, which has just won a clutch of awards at the Scottish Gin Awards, including best new product, and the gold award for best Old Tom gin.
"This new experience celebrates this juniper-forward gin, giving guests a chance to dive deeper into the range whilst having fun with friends old and new – making cocktails, discovering your favourite serve, and hearing about the scandals and intrigue in the history of gin. We’re also delighted to launch this new experience in the run-up to Christmas and to offer guests the opportunity to book the whole experience exclusively for their friends and family."
