Edinburgh's cheapest flat with stunning Arthur's Seat view hits auction at £50k

Edinburgh's cheapest flat is set to hit the auction house this week with some pretty impressive features.

The two-bedroom flat in Restalrig is going up for sale by auction at a guide price of £50,000, making it the most affordable property in the entire city according to Rightmove.

Being sold by property auctioneers, Auction House Scotland, the nineth floor flat at 24 Lochend House in Restalrig, to the east of Edinburgh town centre, is in need of upgrading and modernisation but offers stunning views to the Forth and Arthur's Seat.

Due to its height, the flat comes with its own balcony that provides an incredible lookout over the city, as well as some space to get a bit of fresh air.

Inside, the flat comprises a reception hall, lounge, kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms with storage space in the hall and a large cupboard in the lounge.

There is a security controlled communal entrance hall in the block with lifts and stairs to the upper floors.

Located in the suburb of Restalrig, between Leith and Portobello, the flat is less than two miles from Edinburgh city centre and is close to a range of amenities and shopping facilities, including Meadowbank Shopping Centre.

The property is for sale by auction terms and is currently open to pre-auction offers. It is being offered as a cash only purchase, as it is not suitable for mortgage lending.

For anyone interested in viewing the flat, an Open Viewing is taking place this Thursday, November 10 between 2.00-2.30pm.

For further information about the property or to make a pre-auction offer, please visit the auction house website at auctionhouse.co.uk/scotland or call 0141 339 4466.
