Christmas at the Botanics is a much-anticipated event that attracts people from all over Scotland to enjoy a magical, illuminated trail through the vast and rich greenery of the place over the most festive period of the year.
However, as the venue took to Facebook to invite people to book their slots for the next Christmas period, the social media users were rather shocked. The Royal Botanic Garden said: "Eager to start planning for the perfect Christmas activity? Have no fear, Christmas at the Botanic tickets are here!
"Plan now to secure the date and time of your choice for this wonderful labyrinth of lights and music."
While some were happy to receive the news, the vast majority of people rushed to remind the garden that it's only the beginning of March and promoting some Easter-themed events might be a much more reasonable idea.
From "using the C-word already" to "can we have Summer first" - the Facebook comments section below the post does not lack creativity.
One social media user said: "Christmas? That's got to be the poorest attempt I've ever seen at spelling Easter."
While the other more constructive comment reads: "I agree that it is only March, much better if you tried to do something to encourage visitors to come to the Botanics now, by doing something to brighten up the building site that it's become."
