An Edinburgh road was closed off to traffic this week following a rush hour crash between a 'car and a motorbike.'
Emergency services had raced to the busy junction in Gilmerton on Monday evening after reports of a collision were made by residents.
Taking place at around 5pm, the road surrounding Gilmerton Dykes Street and Hyvot Mill Drive had been cordoned off as police were pictured redirecting traffic.

Images from the scene showed a silver Mazda vehicle being watched over by officers, and was said to have suffered damage to the front of the car.
'Luggage' from the motorbike was also seen lying on a neighbouring grass verge, with the bike itself left lying further down the slope.
It is unclear if there were any injuries as a result of the crash, however the road had been reopened to traffic by Tuesday morning.
Police Scotland were contacted for comment.
