A busy Edinburgh road has been locked down due to a "serious" road traffic collision as a man has been rushed to hospital.
Oswald Road, near the junction with South Oswald Road, is currently closed in both directions following the incident which occurred around 5:10pm on Sunday, January 29.
Worrying images from the scene show what appears to be a car having ploughed into a brick wall near a row of houses, with heavy damage to the vehicle involved. Officers say the male driver of the vehicle has been rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh with "serious injuries."
