An Edinburgh road has been completely blocked after a huge section of a tree collapsed onto the road.
Residents on Dick Place at the Grange were thankfully uninjured when the towering evergreen snapped under gusts from Storm Malik on Saturday.
Taking place not long after 9am, a large section of the trunk had come away from the roots, causing it to smash through a wall and onto the road.

Covering the entire road including the pavement, both traffic and pedestrians were blocked from moving along the road.

It comes as Storm Malik has caused significant disruption around Edinburgh, with the Met Office issuing an amber alert for the capital and along the coast.
Bringing winds of over 60mph, the storm has seen over 200 train cancellations across Scotland, with around 60 services in and out of Edinburgh forced to be scrapped.

A number of Edinburgh tourist attractions and sports matches have also been closed or called off due to the strong gusts, with locals encouraged to stay inside.
Trees have also fallen in other parts of the city, with an iconic Meadows cherry tree also falling victim to the forceful gales battering the city.
Similar scenes were spotted on both Norton Park and Dalmeny Street, with large trees coming crashing down.
According to the Met Office, high winds will continue throughout most of the day, but will begin to ease from around 3pm.
