An Edinburgh restaurant has hit back at a furious customer after they gave them a one star review.
Fazenda on George Street had responded to the individuals TripAdvisor complaint after they claimed they had been denied entry due to the dress code.
A popular Brazilian restaurant in the capital, the venue does enforce a dress code that does "not permit sportswear or beachwear."
However, speaking on the review site on February 1, the customer said they had not been allowed into their booking, which had taken them days to sort out.

Commenting on the site, the user said: "Ridiculously terrible for the services and the booking method.
"After spending two days reserving a seat then I got rejected at the restaurant just because of the nonsense dress code.
"You guys deserve a one-star review."
Quickly responding to the one-star rating, Fazenda said they "valued the feedback", but stood their ground when it came to the issue with the dress code.

Claiming the policy is clearly stated on both the site and booking confirmations, the restaurant wrote:
"We would like to thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We value all of our guests' feedback, whether positive or more constructive, so that we may improve our service for the future.
"We regret that you were unable to dine with us after the time taken to book a table and we appreciate that this must have been a disappointment to you. Please be assured that we always aim to be transparent with regards to our dress code and that we ensure our dress code policy is available on our website, email confirmation, text message confirmation and also in the restaurant.
"Just to clarify, we do operate an elegant, smart casual dress code, the specific attire that we do not accept would be gym wear, active sportswear, track suits, beach shorts, flip-flops and fancy dress.
"Of course, we sympathise that this was an unfortunate instance, however, we hope you can understand that our dress code applies to all of our guests and while we never wish to turn away anyone for not honouring our dress code, it is sometimes necessary to ensure that we treat all of our guests fairly and without prejudice."
