An Edinburgh restaurant boss has blasted “stupid yobs” after decorative plants were needlessly attacked and thrown to the the ground outside his business.
The owners of Noon were left furious when he reviewed security feeds to see the brazen duo randomly take out their frustrations on two tree planters adorning the outside of the noon eatery on Waterloo Place.
Restaurant chiefs, who shelled out more than £400,000 renovating the venue before opening last year, say late-night behaviour in the capital is “getting worse” after previously footing the bill to clean graffiti off the building.

Bizarre CCTV footage shows the shameless pair walking calmly towards Waterloo Place before one man appears to lose control for no reason and hauls over the large plant pots.
His friend initially motions to pick one up, but instead walks away with his hands raised in an apologetic manner as the perpetrator darts off down the street.

Staff were forced to clean up earth from the pavement when they arrived for work in the morning.
One manager at the eatery told Edinburgh Live : “Yobs in Edinburgh are running riot.
“We spent £400,000 fitting out Noon in 2021 and opened late last year. So far, our plants have been damaged and replaced and graffiti has cost us a lot of money at a time when business levels are down due to people being warned to stay away from restaurants during December and January.”
