Edinburgh residents woke up to beautiful scenes this morning after snow fell across the city.
While the wintery weather didn't last too long, people were quick to post their snaps to social media. From snowy Edinburgh Castle to chilly scenes at The Shore, residents across the city were capturing the beauty.
This comes as the Met Office brought forward their yellow warning for snow and ice, with the warning in place until midday on December 12.

Warnings have also been applied for icy conditions on roads and footpaths, with temperatures dropping to below minus the last few days.
