An Edinburgh street was plunged into darkness on Sunday night following a 'power outage'.
Eyewitnesses reported 'sparks' were flying from the pavement and the street lamps were off as Scottish Power, Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue attended.
By 12am, the area was closed off.

Red barriers and tape were put in place to cordon off the pavement where the sparks were seen and a number of police cars were present.
Firefighters were also on the scene.
An eyewitness told Edinburgh Live: " Street lamps on Drumbrae Drive in the Clermiston area are all off. Police told me it was a power outage and that Scottish Power was on site as it was sparking."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 11.06pm on Sunday, July 9 to an incident at Dumbrae Drive, Edinburgh.
“Operations Control mobilised two fire appliances to the scene where a manhole cover was showing signs of sparking.
“Scottish Power attended the incident and crews ensured the area was made safe before leaving shortly after midnight on Monday, 10 July"
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received report of an explosion on Drum Brae Drive in Edinburgh around 11.05pm on Sunday, July 9, 2023.
“Emergency services attended and no-one was injured.
"The road was re-opened and the incident was confirmed as an electrical fault.”
A spokesperson for SP Energy Networks said: "Due to a cable fault, a footpath outside Drumbrae Drive has been temporarily closed to the public, while our engineers complete repairs and transport equipment away from the site. We are working at pace to resolve the fault and minimise any disruption to the public. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
