A broken down train outside Edinburgh is causing rush hour travel disruption that will affect a number of rail services going in and out of the capital.
Network Rail confirmed that the stricken locomotive between Edinburgh and Newcastle is causing cancellations on services between these stations.

They warned trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised and they anticipate disruption will continue until 6pm.
Lumo and Transpennine Express have warned customers a number of services are halted or cancelled and not expected to resume until after 6pm.
