Edinburgh property: Rare New Town mews flat for sale on sought after city street

A “rarely available home” on Jamaica Street North Lane has come up for sale. The three-storey, three bedroom property on a quiet lane in the heart of Edinburgh’s New Town city centre.

It is listed on RightMove for £525,000. In 2007, the property was previously sold for £275,000. Meaning the home’s value has nearly doubled in price. The property was also sold in 2016 for £358,750.

The home has a modern design and colour scheme with bright spaces full of light. On the ground floor, the entrance leads into a stylish kitchen and dining room with a storage cupboard and a stylistically simple and spacious sitting room.

On the first floor, the home has a bright hall with a spacious double bedroom and a smaller bedroom that can also be used as a study. There is a family bathroom with a large shower and bath in between the rooms.

On the second floor, the master bedroom stuns with an en suite cloakroom and fitted wash closet. There are also storage spaces in the eaves and two windows that open out from the ceiling to let light in.

The property comes with on street resident permit parking, and there is a small shared garden area behind the property.

The listing describes the area as “just a short walk away from the desirable area of Stockbridge as well as Edinburgh's City Centre.” It is only one mile away from Haymarket Station and only half a mile from Edinburgh’s Waverley.

Edinburgh's main Shopping districts of St James Quarter, George Street and Princes Street are also within close proximity.
