Tigh Beag can be bought for offers over £90,000, while the majority of one-bedroom flats in the Scottish capital are upwards of £100,000. The former croft house is located in the traditional scattered crofting community of Kingsburgh.
Kingsburgh is a few miles south of Uig, on the Trotternish Peninsula in the north east area of Skye. While the community itself offers no amenities, Uig has a post office/general store/bakery, hotels, restaurants, petrol station, primary school, local pottery and brewery.

"Whilst the property is currently divided into a number of rooms, any upgrading works will allow the flexibility for these to be reconfigured. Whilst it benefits from mains electricity, there is no longer a water supply to the property.
"This was disconnected some time ago but that it may be possible for this to be reconnected. It will be the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange for any such connection and the installation of a septic tank/treatment system."
It continues: "Tigh Beag sits in a generous plot from which there are views across Loch Snizort towards Aird Bernisdale and Treaslane towards the Cuillins in the distance. It may be possible to use the plot as a house site and build a new house to take advantage of the views, subject to any necessary planning consents.
"The site is bounded to one two sides by a dry stone wall and there are the remains of an old stone byre."

The former shower room has been used as a workshop, but comes with a shower tray still in situ and a stainless steel sink and drainer. In addition, there is a camping toilet.
