A three-bedroom cottage on the Isle of Lewis has gone on the market for a lower price than a typical Edinburgh flat.

The property is located in the "picturesque" village of North Tolsta, which features "two of the island's most stunning white sandy beaches". There is also a small local shop and post office in the village.

It is on the market for offers over £120,000, making it cheaper than the majority of one-bedroom properties in the capital. Looking at Rightmove, most flats in Edinburgh are on the market for over £150,000.

North Tolsta is approximately a 20-minute drive from Stornaway, which features local amenities such as restaurants, supermarkets, leisure centre, pharmacies and medical practices.
