Edinburgh police have seized a Mercedes car in Leith after the driver was found missing a crucial thing.
Police in Leith were joined by Police Scotland Volunteers when a Mercedes was found stopped on zig-zags. The driver was found to have no insurance.
Taking to social media, Edinburgh Police went on to say that the driver was charged and the car was seized.

As Police Scotland state: "If a vehicle is stopped by the police on a road or public place without a valid policy of insurance it can be seized. This is under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act. The vehicle would not be released until you have a valid policy of insurance."
The driver will have to pay a release fee (this includes a recovery fee and storage charges). If vehicles are not claimed after 14 days, they are then are disposed of to recover costs.
If found without a valid insurance can land you between six and eight penalty points if prosecuted at court, along with being disqualified and fined £5000. If the offence is dealt with at the roadside with a fixed penalty, drivers can be fined £300 and given six penalty points.
