Edinburgh drivers have been issued a warning following a collision on a major Edinburgh road.

Motorists have been warned that traffic is tailing back following a one-car collision on the A720 Eastbound on Tuesday at around 12.40pm between A71 (Calder Jct) - A70 (Baberton Jct).

Police and TRISS are en-route to attend the scene and Police Scotland have been contacted for comment.

This comes after the A702 road was blocked by Hillend this morning following a two-car collision. The road was closed during rush hour while police attended and car recovery was organised. There were no injuries.

Drivers were warned earlier this morning to take care on the roads after Edinburgh residents woke up to icy conditions with some even experiencing some snow.
