A heavy police presence has been spotted in Edinburgh city centre following reports of a disturbance outside a pub.
Multiple police cars were captured on Rose Street and Hanover Street shortly before 8pm on Friday, July 1, following reports of an attack outside the Black Rose Tavern.
One eyewitness at the scene reported seeing a "big fight" outside the pub which resulted in someone being "bottled".

They said: "It was all kicking off outside the Black Rose Tavern. One guy tried to grab a wine bottle off an outdoor table and bottled someone, the police soon turned up and ended up chasing people down the street."
Images from the scene show police parked on Rose Street and more vehicles on Hanover Street to deal with the disturbance in one of the city's busiest areas.
Another image shows officers walking back towards the scene after supposedly catching the culprit.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to reports of a disturbance at a premises on Rose Street, Edinburgh at around 7.25pm on Friday, 1 July, 2022.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
