Edinburgh police release CCTV of man after girl seriously injured on train

Police have released a CCTV image of a man after a teenage girl was attacked on an Edinburgh train.

Cops launched a probe after the 15-year-old girl suffered a serious injury on a late night train earlier this week.

The incident took place onboard the 9.23pm Glasgow Queen Street to Edinburgh Waverley service on Monday, July 19, 2021.

British Transport Police have released a picture of a person they say "may be able to assist them with their enquiries" in relation to the incident.

The man can be seen wearing an orange high-vis vest and is holding a mobile phone, the Record reports.

Anyone who recognises the person in the image, or who has any information that will assist officers with their investigation, is asked to contact BTP.
