An international fugitive has been caught by Edinburgh police during a standard road check in Leith.
Police Scotland has revealed that during a road check on Easter Road a driver was arrested on suspicion of having no driving licence or car insurance.

After running their details through a database, they were shocked to discover the individual was also wanted by Interpol.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "CPT carried out a road check at Easter Road. A driver was arrested after checks revealed they were wanted by Interpol."
They added: "Also had no licence or insurance." The incident has been reported to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal.
