An Edinburgh man has been left in a serious condition in hospital after being struck by a car in a suspected hit-and-run.
Police have launched a bid to trace the driver of an unknown vehicle following the incident at a roundabout on Broomhouse Drive.
Emergency crews from the force and the Scottish Ambulance Service rushed to the incident shortly after 6.30pm on Thursday evening.

A 40-year-old man was transported to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh after receiving initial treatment at the scene, where his condition is described as critical but stable.
Officers cordoned off the first exit towards the Sighthill Park and Calder Road areas during their initial probe, however the road was later reopened.
Investigators are now treating the incident as a hit and run and have asked anyone with information to come forward and share it with police.
A spokesperson said: “About 6.30pm on Thursday, 14 April, 2022, officers attended a report of a 40-year-old male pedestrian seriously injured on Broomhouse Drive in Edinburgh after he was involved in a collision with a vehicle.
"The male was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where his condition is described as critical but stable.

"The vehicle involved did not stop at the scene and enquires are ongoing to identify the driver. The road has since been reopened.
"Any information should be passed to police by calling 101, quoting incident number 2846 of 14 April, 2022.”
