Edinburgh Police have taken it upon themselves to monitor traffic outside of Ferryhill Primary School in the north of the capital after parents were said to have been abusing road rules.
Officers were on hand in Drylaw to deal with parking issues and to ensure that parents were being “considerate” to those making their way to the primary school with their children.
Police reminded those dropping off their kids that yellow lines and road closures were in place to protect pupils and to keep them safe.
It is understood that the Drylaw Community Safety team carried out the checks on site and monitored the situation outside of the primary.
