Edinburgh police were seen cracking down on drivers in the capital on Friday as they came off two major roads.
The Road Police and National Motorcycle unit reported they had stopped a number of motorists at Hermiston Gait, with officers setting up a temporary checkpoint.
Pulled into the lay-by next to the Krispy Kreme and KFC drive-thru, teams requested drivers to pull in and undergo a series of offence checks.

The road leads onto a major junction and roundabout at Hermiston Gait, which connects to both the Edinburgh City Bypass and the M8 to Glasgow.
Images from the checkpoint show a series of vans pulled over, while officers carried out inspections.
According to the RP, "numerous" vehicles were stopped, with offences detected.
Taking to social media, the unit said: "Edinburgh RP and #NationalMotorcycleUnit conducted a joint operation today with @DVSAEnforcement at Hermiston Gait for #ScotRoadSafetyWeek.
"Numerous vehicles stopped and offences detected."
