Officers in the capital have called for the help of the public in finding a missing 25-year-old male who went missing from the Morningside area of Edinburgh.
They say that John Tant, who was last seen at 11:00am on Monday August 1, was last seen in the central community of Morningside.
He is described as being a white male with a five foot eight inch build. John is understood to have a slim build with short dark hair as well as dark facial hair and speaks with a Scottish accent.

Police say that he was last seen with a dark hooded top and jogging bottoms as well as Adidas trainers.
In a post on Facebook, the Edinburgh Police Division said: “We are appealing for the public’s help as part of our efforts to trace a man reported missing in Edinburgh.
“John was last seen in the Morningside area of Edinburgh around 11:00 hours on Monday 1st August 2022.
“John is described as a 25 year old white male, about 5’8”, slim build, short dark hair and dark facial hair. He speaks with a Scottish accent.
“He was last seen wearing a dark hooded top, dark jogging bottoms and dark trainers with three stripes on them.
“He has links to the Edinburgh city area.
“Anyone who may have seen John since this time, or who has any information on his whereabouts, is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 0013 of 02/08/2022.”
