Edinburgh Pizza Express restaurant to close after serving customers for over a decade

A popular Edinburgh restaurant is to close after over a decade in business.

The Pizza Express site in Stockbridge will sadly be closing its doors for good this month after becoming an iconic staple of Deanhugh Street.

One of seven in Edinburgh, the restaurant will be the second to close in the past few years, after the Leith branch also closed its doors during the pandemic.

Opening in the 2000s, many locals across the capital had visited the pizzeria over the years, with hundreds enjoying the stunning views and outdoor terrace it had looking over the Water of Leith.

The restaurant was also tucked in under the historic clock tower, with the building itself a preserved piece of the city.

With staff set to work their last shift on Wednesday (February 23), customers unfortunately only have a few days left to dine in the restaurant.
