Edinburgh's Pitt Market have given fans an update on their new venue in the capital, admitting the move hasn't gone 'entirely to plan'.
The iconic food and drink market closed in Autumn last year in Leith, with flats set to be built at their former home on Pitt Street. With a new venue set for Granton, the organisers have issued an update, saying they hope to be back with a bang next year.
As well as the update, The Pitt Market also uploaded a video which shows the current progress of their Granton venue with construction well underway.

With several snags having held up the moving process, a fundraiser is set to be launched ahead of opening for the final touches.
They posted: "Hi everyone, hope you’ve been keeping well? You’re probably thinking, “Hey, didn’t The Pitt say they were going to be open by now?” Well, you’re right, we did say that…
"Straight up, it’s been quite the journey, let us tell you. That journey hasn’t gone entirely to plan in terms of what we initially set out, BUT, we’re happy to say that this has meant a delay rather than anything worse.
"Our new home in Granton is part of a much wider, very ambitious project, and with everything going on in the world there has been some, perhaps rather inevitable, hold ups.
"The good news is building works have now started, and we’re very confident of being back with a bang next year with tons of food, tons of events, and a sea view to die for. Ahead of opening we’ll also be launching a crowdfunder for the final touches, more info on that in the coming months…
"As ever, there are a massive amount of amazing things happening in Edinburgh this summer that we’re sure will keep everyone entertained, check some of them out below and you may even see some of your Pitt faves when you’re there."
At the end of October The Pitt said their final goodbyes to their former home in Leith and put on a huge show with local traders and live entertainment. To keep up to date with the market's latest updates, you can follow them on Instagram here.
