An urgent appeal has been launched to help trace a local pensioner missing in Edinburgh.
Police in the capital are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of 79-year-old John Gray, with anyone holding information regarding his whereabouts asked to contact 101 as soon as possible.
Mr Gray, from Leith, was last seen in the South Lorne Place area of Edinburgh around 8am on Saturday, July 30.
He is described as a white male, around 5ft 8in tall, of medium build, with short white hair.

When last seen, he was wearing a blue fleece jacket, blue jeans and black shoes, which are shown in the attached image.
Constable Stephen Henderson said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for John's welfare and would urge anyone who may have seen him, or has any information on his whereabouts, to contact police.

"Local officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to trace him.
"I would ask that anyone who believes they may have seen John, or who has any other information, contacts us on 101, quoting reference 0946 of Saturday, 30 July, 2022."
