Edinburgh passerby lobs coin to guitarist busking from his first floor window

This is the hilarious moment an Edinburgh passerby attempts to lob a €1 coin at a busker performing from a bedroom window in the Southside of the city.

The Irish musician was visiting his pal who studies over here and happened to notice Calum casually playing out the South Clerk Street window and gave him a shout.

The pair then conversed before musician Enda Larkin from Dublin decided he wanted to give Calum a Euro coin as he didn't have anything else and proceeded to lob it up to the first floor window.

Speaking to Edinburgh Live the 25-year-old said: "I was waiting to get in to my friends apartment on the opposite side of the road. As he was taking ages to buzz me in, I went over to chat and sing with Calum.

"I had no idea he was a pretty well known singer! My mate then ended up recording the last 10 seconds of me dancing outside singing Naive! It was a completely accidental interaction I had no idea Calum was recording.

"We have since been linked to each other online as many people had seen both videos independently then they joined the dots and made me aware of it! I am from Dublin and visited my mate who is studying in Edinburgh for his birthday.

"I was in Edinburgh from Thursday morning until yesterday night - got my friends tickets to see Benjamin Francis Leftwhich in Liquid rooms on Thursday night , and Kneecap in Glasgow's Barrowlands on Saturday!

"I love the Kooks and have covered some of their stuff. Plan on doing the second verse of Naive with my brother later today to send back to Calum on our window sill!

"Then back down the road to Cork for work tomorrow. I've had most Irish bands react and share my local stuff when I cover it here too - lovely experience!"

The original clip went viral with over four million views and 100,000 likes when it was posted by Edinburgh based singer and songwriter Calum Bowie two days ago.

The pair who are both musicians, have since connected and plan to keep in touch following the heart-warming coincidence.
